Welcome to the STEAM Inquiry Lab!
STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. STEAM lab is a hands on integration lab where all these disciplines overlap to solve real world problems using the scientific method and the engineering design process.
Our young Christian scientists learn to use the scientific method to design experiments and carry them out as a way to explore the way God has designed His creation. From explorations with tornado tubes to studying live materials, such as crickets, tadpoles and butterfly larvae!
Our students use what they have learned about science to engineer solutions to real world problems using the engineering process as their scaffold. From building dams and making 3d maps to building water filtration systems and designing tools to pick up trash, our students have the opportunity to use their God given talents to do some amazing things!
We strongly emphasize that we can be both a Christian and a scientist! Good science is Christ centered! God has made us an awesome place to explore . Our STEAM curriculum (from Know Atom) covers all state standards as well as next generation science standards. All students kindergarten through fifth grade rotate into the STEAM Lab on a weekly basis.
